Sulk 03:08
Sit around and make a fact out of a feeling Say everything but what you mean by it all And run around and find yourself a new location Where all the people reflect and condone Stand your ground the waves of change have got your feet Their steady stream will pull you into their world So sulk about it, know that hell is other people But company will have us pardon our own And I won't be taking that call I'll dance in key, but I just can't go that far With all the daily loads of casual culture war I'll keep my back to the wall What all these inconsistent wave of maturation say Is we don't want to see faults So we'll sulk about it Spend our days in isolation Won't give occasion for the cracks to evolve It'll be the death of us all You'll gnash your teeth when you're behind closed doors And be the curators of a monochrome freedom To keep their backs to the wall Once again (What all these inconsistent waves of maturation say)

Demagogue 04:05
How do you get around this place? The world I know Its underbelly's come it's showing its face To pull the reigns on our cultured lens So how do you get around this space? And stay involved Sentimental for the struggles of late (A painful memory) As we learn our proper place Try to learn our proper place As we get around this place How do you get around this place? The world I know It's underbelly is now taking it's place To cure the rains we propogate So how do you get around this place? A demagogue came up connected to the wrong interface To pull the pin and run away As we learn our proper place Try to learn our proper place As you get around this place Look around at the mess you've made Half-lit halls and starry graves The rest you left as open But that won't be spoken Ease my troubled mind My star it fades and clings to accolades Ease my troubled mind I set a pace, and the winds will carry me
3.
Won't you forgive me if I do not exchange The pleasantries They went from me When you pump the brakes I think we should separate Like church and state I'll call you fake, and you'll get your shots You can dot your I's and you can cross all your t's There's no getting through to me And my unfriendly disease You won't find the thickness of my skin But you burrow in So take it on the chin Or tell me when, I'll ring the bell And you'll learn your place As I suffocate You may hate my words but you can't look away It's who I have to be (despite centuries) I really wish we could find a way to end our pain And leave this spate But it's too late to take it back now You can cross your I's and you can dot all your t's There's no getting through to me I chose my reality Because you've been lacking punishment, Stenographer O Stenographer
4.
Crowded West 04:05
Look around all the faces in the crowd won't go away If they offend with their presence we'll shun them when they look away Shoddy clocks shroud the shame found in our shops It's nothing We cower at the future in a world where there is no end game Look around all the faces in the crowd won't go away So shout from the roofs and get down with the dissonance Old battlegrounds open up and take their rounds in a no-sum game When you're tied to your roots it's profound what the bitter men say Look around for ambition in the crowd How easy they will sling shot from the bottom to the top They're crowding the west Listen now for that scintillating sound That you earned everything you found It's the toxicity that's clouding your mindset It's no contest

about

The former frontman of Grand Rapids, MI based Thickest Thieves, Daniel Brown pops up with a new project in a new city.
Importer's Republic EP is a musing of our times-- with themes of xenophobia and information wars--over analog synths, live drums with some guitar and saxophone sprinkled in.
